Collin Yarbrough
Founder + Principal Consultant
Collin’s research is focused at the intersection transportation, land use, and disproportionate community impacts. His current work takes a historical look at the impacts of infrastructure, policy, and racism in shaping present inequality in Dallas. He is the author of Paved A Way: infrastructure, policy, and racism in an American city (2021) which provides an historical account of the disproportionately negative impact of highway development on Black and Mexican American neighborhoods in Dallas, and the patterns of (in)justice reverberating today. Collin is pursuing a PhD in civil engineering at SMU in Dallas, Texas. Prior to graduate school, he worked as an engineer and project manager in the utility industry, serving customers across Texas. Collin is a licensed professional engineer and ENVISION sustainability professional. He currently serves on the boards of several non-profits advocating for environmental justice across Dallas. On the side, he helps his mother with their non-profit cookie bakery and is an avid runner.
